An old-time specimen of amethyst from Slovakia. The assemblage consists of many intergrown quartz crystals (also scepters) on matrix. The color is superb and the contrast with the white matrix really makes the amethyst stand out. The sample, from a very classic locality, is much better than the picture shows.
